Privacy Policy — XBT - Trading Journal
We collect nothing. The app has no internet access. Your trades, notes, screenshots and statistics stay in the app's private storage on your device.
1. What the app does
The app is a 100% offline trading diary: log trades (instrument, direction, entry/exit, size, stop/target, fees, P/L, strategy tag, emotion, notes, screenshots), filter them, see statistics (win rate, profit factor, expectancy, R histogram, equity curve, drawdown, streaks, P&L calendar), track trading rules and goals, import MetaTrader 4/5 and crypto-exchange CSV files, and export CSV or a JSON backup.
2. No data collection
The app collects, transmits and shares zero data. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, no accounts, no cloud sync.
3. No internet access
The release app does not declare the Android INTERNET permission. This is technically verifiable: inspect the APK's manifest — no network permission is declared, so the operating system itself prevents the app from making network requests. In fact the release build declares no Android permissions at all.
4. Your data stays on your device
Trades, notes, tags, statistics, rules, checklist, goals and settings are stored in a local SQLite database inside the app's private storage. Screenshot attachments you pick are copied into the app's private documents folder (the app never keeps a reference to your gallery).
5. Imports and exports are user-initiated only
MetaTrader / exchange CSV import and JSON backup import read a file you pick through the Android system file picker (SAF) — which needs no storage permission and gives the app access only to the file you chose. CSV export, the JSON backup, the stats summary and the weekly share card hand a file or text to the system share sheet: data leaves the device only when you explicitly choose a target app, and only to that app. We never receive a copy.
6. Deleting your data
"Settings → Delete all data" permanently removes all trades, attachments and settings. Uninstalling the app removes everything as well. There is no cloud copy — we could not restore your data even if you asked.
7. Children
The app is a general-audience record-keeping tool, is not directed at children, and — since it collects no data — processes no personal information of any user.
8. Not financial advice
Statistics are computed from what you enter and are for your own record-keeping. They are not investment advice. See the risk disclaimer.
9. Changes
Any future change to this policy will be published at this URL and in the store listing before it takes effect. Given the app's design (no network permission), a change that introduced data collection would require a new app update with a visibly changed permission list.
