Privacy Policy — XBT - Market Sentiment
The app collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers and no tracking of any kind.
1. What the app does
XBT - Market Sentiment displays a 0–100 "market temperature" score for each asset class (crypto, FX, commodities, stocks, indices) plus a combined overview, with score history charts, a per-class breakdown of the contributing signal groups, and optional alerts when a class changes sentiment band. Scores are computed on our server from publicly available market-data sources; the app downloads only these pre-computed, aggregate numbers.
2. Data we collect about you
None. There is no account, no login, no user profile and no device identifier. We do not collect your name, email, advertising ID, location or contacts, and we operate no user database.
3. Network use
The app makes anonymous HTTPS requests to our score service
(https://xbt-sentiment-worker.xbtalgo.workers.dev by default; the address is
configurable in Settings) to fetch the latest scores and score history. These requests contain
no personal information, no device identifiers and no location data — only
which asset class and how many days of history to return.
Standard server logs (an IP address, as part of normal HTTP operation) are retained only transiently by the hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) and are not used to identify users. If you change the server address in Settings, requests go to whatever address you entered — do that only if you know what it points to.
4. Data stored on your device
Display preferences (language, theme, chart range, server address), your alert settings, and a cached copy of the last downloaded scores are stored locally on your device only, and are removed when you uninstall the app.
5. Notifications
Band-change alerts are generated locally on your device by a periodic background check that fetches the public scores. No push service, no server-side messaging and no device tokens are used, and the server is never told that you have alerts enabled.
6. Permissions
- INTERNET — download the public score data described above.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — show band-change alerts (Android 13+), only if you grant it.
No location, storage, camera, microphone or contacts access is requested, and no exact-alarm access is used. The notification and background-work libraries add standard technical entries (VIBRATE, WAKE_LOCK, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) that control scheduling behaviour and give no access to your data.
7. Third parties
No data is shared with third parties. The app contains no third-party ads or analytics. The score service aggregates publicly available market data; it never receives anything about you beyond the transient technical request metadata described in section 3.
8. Children
The app is a general-audience financial information tool and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
9. Not financial advice
Sentiment scores are informational aggregates of public market data. They are not investment advice, not a prediction, and not a signal to buy or sell. See the risk disclaimer.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will change.
