Risk disclaimer
Nothing in the XBT ALGO apps or on this site is investment advice. Trading involves substantial risk and you can lose all of your capital. Every decision you make with these tools is your own.
1. Informational tools only
The XBT ALGO apps provide market schedules, economic-calendar entries, news headlines, sentiment scores, technical indicators, calculators, journal statistics and educational reference material. All of it is published for general informational and educational purposes only.
None of it is investment, financial, legal, accounting or tax advice; none of it is a personal recommendation; none of it takes your circumstances, objectives, experience or risk tolerance into account. We are not a licensed investment adviser, broker, dealer or portfolio manager, and using our apps does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. If you need advice, consult a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
2. Trading risk
Trading foreign exchange, CFDs, crypto-assets, futures, options, indices and equities carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Prices can move against you quickly, gap over your stop, or become illiquid; a stop-loss does not guarantee your exit price. You can lose your entire deposit, and with some products more than your deposit. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
3. Market sentiment scores
The sentiment "temperature" scores are aggregates of publicly available market data, computed by a rules-based model that we designed. Please understand what that does and does not mean:
- A score describes current conditions across a set of signals. It is not a forecast, not a price target, and not a buy or sell signal.
- Scores depend on third-party data that may be delayed, revised, incomplete or temporarily unavailable. When coverage is partial, the app shows a confidence/coverage indicator — a lower reading means fewer live inputs, and the score should be treated accordingly.
- The model's weightings, transformations and thresholds are our editorial choices. Reasonable models can disagree. The methodology may change as data sources are added or removed.
- A high or low score has no established predictive power over future prices, and we make no claim that it does.
4. Indicators
Technical indicators — including the invite-only TradingView scripts offered under the Pro subscription — are calculation and visualisation tools. They describe past and current price behaviour according to a formula. They do not predict the future, do not guarantee any outcome, and are not a trading system on their own.
Any historical, back-tested, simulated or example results shown anywhere are hypothetical. They do not account for slippage, spreads, commissions, funding, latency, liquidity, execution errors or the psychological reality of trading live money, and they benefit from hindsight. Past performance — real or simulated — does not indicate future results.
5. Calculators and risk tools
Position-size, pip/point value, margin, profit/loss, drawdown, compounding, spread-cost and averaging calculators produce estimates from the numbers you enter. Contract specifications, tick values, margin requirements, commissions, swap/funding rates and fee schedules vary by broker, instrument and account type and change over time. Fee estimates from platform profiles are approximations you can edit.
Always verify a calculated size against your broker's own contract specification and your account's live margin before placing an order. A wrong input (or a missing currency conversion rate) produces a wrong result — the app flags what it cannot compute rather than guessing, but the final check is yours.
6. Journal statistics
Win rate, expectancy, profit factor, R multiples, equity curves and drawdown are computed from the data you enter or import. They are only as accurate as your records, and small samples are statistically unreliable. They describe your past behaviour; they do not predict your future results.
7. Data quality and delivery
Market hours, holidays, economic events and news come from third-party sources. Times, forecasts and figures may be delayed, revised or incorrect, and event schedules change. Notifications and alarms depend on your device: operating-system battery optimisation, doze mode, manufacturer restrictions, a powered-off phone or a revoked permission can delay or suppress them. Do not rely on an app alert as the sole trigger for a time-critical decision.
8. Educational content
Pattern descriptions, glossary entries and guides describe common market concepts as they are conventionally taught. They are simplifications, not rules that markets obey, and are intended for adults learning about markets — not as instructions to place a trade.
9. Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for your trading decisions, for complying with the laws and regulations of your country, and for the tax treatment of your activity. Some products referenced in the apps are restricted or unavailable to retail traders in certain jurisdictions.
